Sarah Spencer
American Singer, Songwriter and Pianist
Sarah Spencer is a Nashville-based Americana singer and songwriter, writing in a style called “Americana Sunshine,” with roots from her native home of Central Florida. Since bringing her love of song Nashville in 2012, her songs have been recorded by nationally touring artists and played on radio stations around the country. Spencer has released two albums: Angelfire with guitarist Steve Morse, and Freshman Year as a solo artist. Her compositions have won and been nominated for a number of awards, including “If You Drink” (S. Spencer/J. Cirillo/D. Reifsnyder) winning Best Country Song in the 2017 USA Songwriting competition, “Little One Bedroom” winning the 2015 Frank Brown Song Contest, and “Us Someday” named a finalist in both the NSAI/CMT’s Song Contest and Merlefest’s Chris Austin Songwriting Contest.
Spencer is the creator of SongFancy, a songwriting blog and community aimed at helping beginner female songwriters learn basic song craft and develop a love for their unique songwriting voice. She also runs the fast-growing 5 in 5 Song Challenge, has written a book of songwriting prompts, and offers online courses on songwriting.
