Rashida Cruz is an adjunct professor of the Music Industry Program at Monmouth University where she teaches the Business of Music and Music Industry Internship. She created the Introduction to Music Business course for Brookdale Community College and taught business courses at Berkeley College. Cruz has aided students in securing careers with a wide variety of companies such as Live Nation, Warner Music Group, Sire Records, Sony Music Entertainment, NFL Films, Lakehouse Music Academy, The Wendy Williams Show, Stone Pony, WBGO Jazz 88.3 FM, Power 105.1 FM, Asbury Park Music & Film Festival, New Music Seminar, Harry Fox Agency, Screen Actors Guild, SESAC, SoundExchange, and many more.

In 2018, she assumed the role as Executive Director of the Recording Academy GRAMMY Museum Experience Prudential Center. The museum is distinguished as hosting exhibits of New Jersey legends such as Bruce Springsteen, Wyclef Jean, Whitney Houston, Sugar Hill Gang, Frank Sinatra, Bon Jovi, Count Basie, and more. Under Cruz’s leadership, the museum launched the “Taylor Swift Experience” and “Whitney” exhibits.
