Head of Business & Legal Affairs

Mark Robinson is currently Head of Business & Legal Affairs for 300 Entertainment, and serves on the A2IM Advisory Board. He is also is the Visiting Music & Entertainment Industries Expert Professor at  William Paterson University. Robinson is a 20 year music veteran who most recently served as General Counsel for the newly launched BMG overseeing record and publishing divisions for North America. Billboard named him a 2016 Digital Power Player for his involvement in the precedent setting case BMG vs Cox Communication, successfully piercing the internet providers “safe harbor” defense for copyright infringement and gaining tremendous victory for rights holders.

Prior to BMG, Mark held various positions at Warner Music Group with a focus on the independent sector, where he was head lawyer for ADA and the Independent Label Group. Before Warner, he worked at Koch (now EOne) which had purchased the label where he began his career, Walter Yetnikoff’s Velvel Records.
