Jean Chadwick is a Digital Music Operations & Metadata Veteran, formerly the Director of Digital Operations and Supply Chain at Native Instruments, a software developer company that develops, manufactures, and supplies music software and hardware. Chadwick was a founding member of the MetaPop remix competition platform that was acquired by Native Instruments. In this role, she worked specifically on directing inventory and partner management infrastructure for Native Instruments’ audio sample platform, Sounds.com. Prior to this role, Chadwick managed content for Universal Music, contributing to the launch of music sites like Apple’s iTunes and Listen. She helped to build Napster’s music streaming operation. She also led their global content management team and advised on development in the company’s data infrastructure, which housed a catalog of over 22 million songs. Chadwick was a founding member of the original MI3P and subsequent DDEX consortium, helping to pave the way for metadata standardization and collaboration across the entire digital music ecosystem. She led partner and inventory management for Muve Music, helping to build the company that became the fastest growing mobile music service before its acquisition by Deezer.
