Derrick Aroh is the VP of A&R at RCA Records, and has quickly become one of A&R’s rising stars. Aroh joined RCA in the A&R department as an intern at the age of 18 and became A&R Rep in 2015. He has signed and developed several acclaimed Hip-Hop artists to the label such as Childish Gambino, whose first track with the company, “This Is America,” debuted at #1 on Billboard Hot 100 and was certified platinum with over 146 million audio streams in the U.S. He was vital to closing the deal with breakthrough Hip-Hop boy band BROCKHAMPTON, who are gearing up for their major label debut as one of most buzzed about signings this year.
Aroh’s many other accomplishments within the department include signing DC rapper GoldLink and handling A&R for the soundtrack to Lionsgate’s Uncle Drew, featuring G-Eazy, Yo Gotti, YBN NAHMIR, A$AP Rocky, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, Khalid, Logic, and more. He is currently working with multi-platinum Hip-Hop producer London On Da Track and he prides himself on discovering, signing, and developing new underground talent.
