Colin Rushing is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of SoundExchange, a non-profit collective rights management organization. Rushing oversees the company’s legal, regulatory, and corporate affairs, supervises rate setting proceedings, directs the company’s enforcement program, and plays a key role in shaping SoundExchange’s strategic development. Prior to his current position, Rushing was the Senior Counsel for Licensing and Enforcement, where he was responsible for developing a comprehensive enforcement program, advising the company on regulatory matters, and helping to manage rate-setting proceedings. He has clerked for the Hon. T.S. Ellis III in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and was also an attorney at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP Washington, D.C., where he focused on intellectual property and media law.
