Amina Diop is SVP of A&R at Republic Records, where she spearheads the discovery and development of new artists across multiple genres. Her addition increases the label’s visibility within a veritable music mecca, placing official roots in the South for the very first time in its history. Diop is also Founder and Principal of The Diop Ageny, a full-service management powerhouse. She has launched, abetted, and guided the careers of some of the world’s biggest stars, including Peewee Longway, Tommie Lee, Bandhunta Izzy, Blackway, and more. Diop also handles day-to-day for Gucci Mane and played an integral role in the success of Young Thug as his manager for five years. Previously, she ran Melanzh Enterprises, an entertainment marketing, management, and booking agency whose clientele encompassed various models and on-camera talent as well as artists.
