Joshua Kaplan is the Founder and CEO of Stemit, a company that uses stems created from digital multitracks and Ai to generate a new revenue stream and to serve as a resource for artists. Stemit has also developed a Software as a Service (SaaS) application, Maverick, which allows for the management of stem assets so that stems are properly stored, protected and identified.
Kaplan has spent 20 years in the technology industry, beginning his career as a personal computer analyst with Gartner. He has also worked for the investment bank Robertson, Stephens & Company in San Francisco and founded Intouch Group, the first multimedia kiosk company for in-store music sampling. Kaplan holds two patents in the music industry and has been featured as an industry speaker at Gartner, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business, Kellogg School of Management, as well as the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice.
