3 – 3:30 PM       Nielsen Music Presentation TBD

3:35 – 4:45 PM    The New Frontier of Digital Licensing in the Pan-European Market
While the industry continues to evolve with the growth in streaming due to large digital music platforms, it’s important to think about business in a global marketplace, rather than on a national basis. It’s also a critical time to evaluate the next frontier of digital licensing while maximizing the value of copyright and leveraging the tools that exists to discover every revenue source.

This panel will discuss the cultural and technological barriers as well as potential solutions. The panel will also drive a conversation about simplifying the online licensing process—while identifying platforms that will maximize efficiency and the need for multiple license types in multiple territories.

Does the large amount of data/music consumption in the digital landscape drive transparency and enhanced efficiency in the licensing process? Will artists and songwriters collect accurate royalty payments? Are publishers losing money in Europe? These are just a few of the questions that can kick off a productive conversation.
