Elizabeth Chan is a Billboard charting artist and CEO of Merry Bright Music Enterprises. Merry Bright Music Enterprises is an international entertainment company focused on holiday content, distributed in partnership with Sony/RED, Believe UK, and Viva Entertainment. Merry Bright Music has established a fresh brand of seasonal media that has garnered critical acclaim on a multi-platform level including television, radio and digital outlets. She has received multiple award nominations, and has been featured on national and international press and radio. Prior to founding Merry Bright Music Enterprises, she is also an award winning executive across film, digital, games and television. She worked as an executive for several major media companies including Conde Nast Publications, MTV Networks, A&E Networks, and Aol, where she oversaw product and content development, business development and marketing for some major media brands including MTV.com, America’s Best Dance Crew, The Hills, Ice Road Truckers, Teen Vogue and SELF Magazine. Having spent most of her time behind the scenes in 2012, she found herself a principal subject for Morgan Spurlock’s Warrior Poets/Fremantle’s “Failure Club,” which documented her ascent from media executive into Christmas composer. Her work on and off camera yielded multiple award nominations for the program including a Webby and Streamy Award. Chan has parlayed her experience as a successful corporate media executive towards cultivating her own and others entrepreneurial pursuits, while pursuing her own personal goals to compose a Christmas standard.
